- Summary: Penywern Independent Chapel was built in 1857, rebuilt 1877 and rebuilt again in 1895.The present chapel, dated 1895, is built in the Italianate style with a gable-entry plan and central doorway. This chapel has two storeys with entry to the gallery by stairs situated on either side of the entry. The ground floor area is entered via two doors set in a partition at the front of the chapel. The pulpit is located to the rear of the chapel and a door to the left of this, in the long wall, enters into a long and narrow meeting hall. The meeting hall is of a lean to type with a pointed headed side entrance porch located to the front end. There is also a rear entrance to the meeting hall.

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
