- Summary: Saron Congregational Chapel was built in 1820, rebuilt in 1835 and again in 1856 with the final construction work in 1886. The present chapel, dated 1886, is built in the Vernacular style, with a short wall entry via a central flat roofed porch. The porch is entered at the front to the left, so not symmetrical. The first floor windows are round-headed and the ground floor windows are segmental headed. The roof of the chapel is of a fully hipped design. The chapel has two storeys, with the gallery stairs located at either side of the central porch entry. The pulpit is located at the rear wall of the chapel, with room for the organ behind it. There are two doors located either side of the pulpit that lead to a meeting hall to the rear of the chapel. The meeting hall is of about equal size to the chapel.

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
