- Summary: Tabor Methodist Chapel was built in 1840 and rebuilt 1907. The later chapel was designed by architect William Beddoe Rees of Cardiff and is built in the Classical style, with two storeys, a gable-entry plan and flat-headed windows. By 1998 Tabor had fallen into disuse, but is now Grade 2 Listed and known locally as the place where the Welsh National Anthem was first sung.
RCAHMW, July 2010 - Description: Built in 1840, modified, altered or rebuilt 1905-6, architect W.B.Rees of Cardiff (cost £3300). Built in the Classical style, gable entry type. Present status [1998]: disused Almost identical to Capel Bethel, Llanwrtyd Wells, also of 1907 (information from Cadw spot list description of 07/08/1990)
In 2004, planning permission was sought to convert the chapel into seven residential flats.

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
