MAIN NOTEWORTHY FEATURE of MAIN BUILDING / COMPLEX:
This building was constructed for First Church of Christian Scientists approximately1963 on the site of a church demolished due to bombing in the Second World War.
It was then taken over and refurbished to house the congregations of Pembroke Terrace (NPRN 9339) and Crwys Road (NPRN14257) congregations when those buildings were sold.
The brick building was originally flat roofed but a large, pitched roof was added in 1988, extended with an impressive glazed portal forward to the pavement to form a porch. A second floor room containing a small theatre was also added to a flat roofed link between the east and west two storey blocks, to form a continuous block.
Large, simple interior space with stage like dais and integral pulpit. Newly formed gallery opposite. Deliberately exposed structural materials: exposed woodwool slab permanent shuttering as ceiling above steel lattice beams. 2 of the clerestorey windows with figurative stained glass. - Chapel Built: 1898 Source:RCCEORBWM

Glazed front and suspended ceiling to hall designed by Gwyn Davies of Latter Davies Architects, Cardiff
Hello
My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website. I have now located it on Google Street View – looks like someone is ‘doing it up’ to live in: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.2612635,-3.1095337,3a,90y,232.95h,84.26t/data=!3m9!1e1!3m7!1s-8DWPORkq2RFVNXBLde_-g!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!9m2!1b1!2i53?hl=en-GB
The marriage record of my ancestors Abraham Bounds and Elizabeth Williams is attached. I hope it is of interest.
All the best
Saira
