The site of the original Quaker meeting house in Swansea, from the end of the 17th century. The Quakers owned a burgage plot fronting onto High Street and running back to The Strand; a meeting house fronted onto High Street with a burial ground behind. A new meeting house (NPRN 91405) was built in 1807-9 at the Strand end of the burial ground, and this was replaced in 1876 by a new building on the High Street frontage, which remained in use until it was destroyed by bombing (GGAT report of 1996).
Note: the bombing raids on Swansea were in three main phases, between 1940 and 1943 (J R Alban, Picture essay: the Second World War, in The city of Swansea: challenges and change, edited by Ralph A. Griffiths (Stroud: Alan Sutton, 1991), pp 131-2. - Additions & Alterations: 1899 Source:RCCEORBWM

Hello
My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website. I have now located it on Google Street View – looks like someone is ‘doing it up’ to live in: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.2612635,-3.1095337,3a,90y,232.95h,84.26t/data=!3m9!1e1!3m7!1s-8DWPORkq2RFVNXBLde_-g!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!9m2!1b1!2i53?hl=en-GB
The marriage record of my ancestors Abraham Bounds and Elizabeth Williams is attached. I hope it is of interest.
All the best
Saira
