- Summary: Siloam Independent Chapel was built in 1844 and rebuilt in 1864 by architect Thomas Thomas of Landore. This later chapel was built in the Classical style with a gable-entry plan and tall round-headed windows. It was enlarged in 1914 but by 1996 had fallen into disuse. Siloam is now Grade 2 Listed

In 2008, planning permission was sought to replace the chapel with eight self contained flats,
ERB, 2008 - Description: Chapel built 1843; rebuilt, altered or modified 1864. Built in Classical style, gable entry type, ( to the design of Rev Thomas Thomas of Landore?). Enlarged 1914. Building is listed Grade 2. Status(1996): disused (2003) up for sale.
TYPICAL 1860S THOMAS THOMAS TYPE DESIGN WITH GIANT ARCH IN AN OPEN PEDIMENT ON THE MAIN FAÇADE. CHAPEL APPARENTLY OUT OF USE WITH SOME BROKEN WINDOWS. TERRACOTTA PORCH & BALUSTRADES AT MAIN WEST FAÇADE ADDED AS A WORLD WAR I MEMORIAL.

Architect the Rev. Thomas Thomas [source: Prys Morgan]. Side elevation to S. has inner recessed arches but not N side. Earleir chapel is said to have been on another site and connected to the house.

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
