- Summary: Saron Independent Chapel was first built in 1849, enlarged in 1856 and renewed in 1871 and 1890. The present building, dated 1890, is built in the Sub-Classical style of the gable-entry type. Internally the pulpit is located against the rear wall and there is a gallery running around three sides of the interior supported on columns. Saron is now Grade 2 Listed for it's 'exceptionally fine interior of the later nineteenth century' (CADW).
RCAHMW, April 2010 - Description: Cause began 1846 & chapel built 1848 with modifications in 1850, 1856 & 1890. Built in sub-classical style, gable entry type. Building is listed Grade 2. Present status [2002]: unknown
RCCEORBWM of 1905 states that Saron has accomodation for 250 in associated schools and mission rooms.

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
