- Summary: Carmel Independent Chapel was built in 1835 and rebuilt in 1862. The present chapel, dated 1862, is built in the Classical style of the long-wall entry type, with a great arch in the gable, by architect Thomas Thomas of Landore. A porch and Sunday School were added c.1870.
RCAHMW, February 2010 - Description: Chapel built 1835, modified, altered or rebuilt 1861/2 in Classical style, long-wall entry type with triple window & great arch, to the design of Rev. Thomas Thomas of Landore. Later porch & Sunday School c. 1870. Status (1998): in chapel use.
The architect is the Rev. Thomas Thomas based on the stylistic and denominational attributes, especailly the great arch in the gable. The complete chapel is of 1861-62 except for the later s/school and probably the pillared porch - Built: 1862 Source:Plaque

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
