- Summary: Bethel Methodist Chapel was first built in 1877 in the Lombardic/ Italian styleof the gable-entry type, by architect Richard Owen of Liverpool. It has round-headed window openings with dripstones and folaite corbels; sash windows with horns and margin panes. The gable facade has a centre doorway under a shallow gabled canopy, a window triplet and occulus over and 4-window return.
The gallery was extended in 1884 to the design of Richard Davies of Bangor and then the interior gutted in the late twentieth century. By 1998 the chapel had been converted for use as a Post Office and SPAR supermarket.
RCAHMW, February 2010 - Description: Present stone-built former chapel was a daughter church to Salem, Dolgellau; built 1876-77 in Lombardic/Italian style, gable entry type, to the design of Richard Owen of Liverpool. Built at a cost of £2000. Gallery extended 1884 to the design of Richard Davies of Bangor (BCS database). Gutted internally later C20. Gable facade with centre doorway under shallow gabled canopy; window triplet & occulus over; 4-window returns. Sunday School at rear. Status(1998): other ( Post Office & Spar supermarket).

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
