- Summary: Seion Methodist Chapel was first built in 1802, rebuilt in 1839 and again in 1873. The present chapel, dated 1873, was designed by architect Richard Owen of Liverpool and stone built in the Romanesque style with a gable-entry plan. The gable-end facade has moulded stone details and surrounds, consisting of triangular recesses, containing tall round-arched windows, flanking a central gabled porch with tripartite and arched geometric window above. The gable coping has a stone finial to its apex and end ball finials. There are five-wndows to each return and a rear schoolroom built in 1901. Seion is now Grade 2 Listed
RCAHMW, January 2010 - Description: A previous chapel was built ca. 1802, and rebuilt 1839 & 1872-3, the last, comprising the present building, to the design of Richard Owen of Liverpool. A grade II listed & gable-entry chapel in a Mixed style with shallow gabled porch, flanking windows in giant round-arched & triangular-headed arcading; centre triplet with Geometric window over; end ball finials to coping; five-window returns. Rear schoolrooms of 1901. Status (1998): in chapel use.

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
