- Summary: Zion Methodist Chapel was first built in 1816 and then rebuilt in 1846. The present chapel, dated 1846, is built in the Gothic style with a long-wall entry plan. It has stone walls, a slate hipped roof and 4-centred heads to the window & door openings. The windows have timber Y-tracery to the heads and small paned glazing below. By the late twentieth century Zion had been converted into a house, but is now Grade 2 Listed as an early rural chapel sensitively converted for domestic use.

CADW Reference
Rubble stonework with a hipped slate roof. On the S side, facing the road, a central door, boarded with cover strips, set in a heavy frame. Four-centred arched openings either side contain paned casement windows, the heads with intersecting glazing bars, Boarded shutters. Similar window at the W end, set higher. Over the door, a plaque reading 'Built for the use of the PRIMITIVE METHODISTS, AD 1816. A small C20 window set in the E end and 2 glazed doors to the rear. - Built: 1816 Source:Cadw (plaque)

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
