Built 1855-56, 1889-90, 1970-74.
Ca. 1855 the Green/ Salop Street Wesleyan Chapel and its appurtenances were sold to the Wesleyan Reformers. The sale realized 758-13s-4 1/2d, but there being a mortgage on it of 618-3s-4d only 140-10s-0 1/2d were obtained from it for the building of Brynffynnon (1).
Brynffynnon (1) "was a seemly stone structure, standing back from the street and presenting to it a high pitched gable. Within there were two aisles, an organ and a singing loft, and behind, schoolrooms and vestries. It included no minister's house, as the Green Street property had done, so no. 36 Pen y bryn was rented.....but in 1865, Epworth Lodge in Grove Road was built as a "manse" and is still occupied as such" (extract and information from A N Palmer, A history of the town and parish of Wrexham, part 4, History of the town of Wrexham (1893, repr., 1997). - Built: 1855 Source:Palmer, A N

Hello
My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website. I have now located it on Google Street View – looks like someone is ‘doing it up’ to live in: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.2612635,-3.1095337,3a,90y,232.95h,84.26t/data=!3m9!1e1!3m7!1s-8DWPORkq2RFVNXBLde_-g!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!9m2!1b1!2i53?hl=en-GB
The marriage record of my ancestors Abraham Bounds and Elizabeth Williams is attached. I hope it is of interest.
All the best
Saira
