The Baptists' "first chapel was in Cox Lane, Rossett. It was a cottage after the style of those in Marford. This cottage in Cox Lane was the birth-place of what is now a world-wide religious movement, "the Church of Christ", which flourishes particularly in the United Sates. This cottage was converted into the first church early in the last century, and in 1847 was visited by Alexander Campbell who, with his father Thomas Campbell, played a leading role in the founding of the American counterpart of the English Churches of Christ. The denomination adopted baptism by total immersion as an expression of faith" (extract from Raymond Lowe, Reflections of a bygone age: a short history of Allington & Burton in the Parish of Rossett (1998), p.23.
Hubbard: "ALLINGTON FARM, Cox Lane 1m SW. of the hamlet of Trefalun. A folly-like gatehouse with ogees (c.f. Marford); and nearby are three cottages with diluted Marford elements" (extract from The buildings of Wales, Clwyd by Edward Hubbard (Penguin Books, 1986), p.289.
The origins and history of the chapel were very closely associated with the family of Charles and Mary Davies and its successive generations. "Their family business was tailoring and carpet weaving, and their employees who "lived in" took part in Sunday worship from as early as 1793. The last descendant of the family, Miss Dora Davies, lived here until 1988 and the property was sold in the following year" (extract from R D Hutchison, Marford: a present from the past (1994)). - Chapel In Use: Post 1809 Source:Hutchison, R D

Hello
My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website. I have now located it on Google Street View – looks like someone is ‘doing it up’ to live in: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.2612635,-3.1095337,3a,90y,232.95h,84.26t/data=!3m9!1e1!3m7!1s-8DWPORkq2RFVNXBLde_-g!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!9m2!1b1!2i53?hl=en-GB
The marriage record of my ancestors Abraham Bounds and Elizabeth Williams is attached. I hope it is of interest.
All the best
