- Summary: Salem Independent Chapel was built in 1885 and rebuilt in 1903, to the design of architect Rowland Lloyd-Jones of Caernarfon. The grand Neo-Classical front with a giant pedimented gable houses the entrance lobby and staircases, with a narrower 4-bay chapel to the rear. The front entrance is constructd of black random granite with freestone dressings, whilst the chapel and lecture hall ranges are roughcast render with stone dressings. The interior is richly decorated with a horse-shoe gallery with a wood panelled parapet carried on fluted cast-iron columns. Salem is now Grade 2 Listed.

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
