- Summary: The cause here was started in 1743 and the first Twr-Gwyn Methodist Chapel was built in 1750. This was usbsequently rebuilt and enlarged in 1779, and again rebuilt in 1816 and 1846. The chapel was renewed in 1932. There were 184 members in 1902, and in 1905 (Royal Commission on the Church of England and other Religious Bodies in Wales and Monmouthshire) there were 400 sittings in the chapel which was valued at £1250.
The present chapel is built as a long-wall entry type, externally rendered. It is constructed in the simple round-headed style, with a central pair of round-headed windows between which is a name and date plaque. To the outer bays are two round-headed doorways , fitted with fanlights and panleed double doors and with classical surrounds. Above are small, square gallery winows with sash glazing. To the left of the chapel is an attached two storey, two bay chapel house.

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
