- Summary: Swyddffynnon Methodist Chapel was first built in 1753 and then rebuilt in 1783, 1809 and 1837. The present chapel, dated 1837, was built in the Simple Round-Headed style of the long-wall entry type. There are two tall central round headed windows, with rectangular plaque above, flanked by 2 flat-headed doors with round headed windows above.
Large enough for a congregation of 320 in 1905 (Royal Commission on the Church of England and Other Religious Buildings in Wales and Monmouthshire census), when it was valued at £920. - Description: Cause begun 1743 & first chapel built 1753(?). Rebuilt 1783(1787), 1809 & 1837. Built in simple round-headed style, long-wall entry type. Status (1998): in chapel use.
Ca 1837 & later stone-built, 2-storey, long-wall-entry plan chapel with round-headed windows, key stones & raised surrounds to windows. Main façade rendered, having a plaque over central pair of windows (formerly margin glazed), flanked by flat-headed doorways & gallery windows. In-line to left is a mid C19th, stone-built, 2-storey, vestry/chapel house with small pane glazing sashes & flat voussoirs to openings.

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
