- Summary: Capel-y-Groes Unitarian Chapel was built in 1802 and rebuilt in 1890 in the Sub-Classical style of the gable entry type. Central shallow porch set in a giant pointed arch with a pair of round-headed windows above and a central oculus. Two tall round headed windows flank the giant arch.
Large enough to house a congregation of 300 in 1905 (Royal Commission on the Church of England and Other Religious Buildings in Wales and Monmouthshire census), when it was valued at £1000 - Description: Cause begun & chapel built 1802; rebuilt 1890 in sub-Classical style, gable entry type. Status (1998): in chapel use.
Ca 1890, stone-built rendered, 2-storey gable-end-entry plan chapel with giant pointed arch, shallow porch, round-headed openings & sides of 3-bays depth. External graveyard & detached vestry. The façade, of imitation aslar, has quoins to corners & pediments, reticulated basement, raised round-headed arches & floral console motifs to windows & doorway. 2 tall-windows flank the recessed giant arch containing paired windows & roundel over porch with fanlight doorway & plaque.

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
