- Summary: Cwrtnewyd Baptist Chapel was built in 1820, rebuilt in 1881 and enlarged in 1929.
The present chapel, date 1881, is stone built in the Simple Round-Headed style of the gable entry type. There are small projecting porches (entered at right angles to the chapel), flanking two marginally glazed, tall round-headed windows, with a central circular window above a rectangular plaque. There is a triangular vent in the apex of the gable.
Large enough for a congregation of 250 in 1905 (Royal Commission on the Church of England and Other Religious Buildings in Wales and Monmouthshire census), when it was valued at £300. - Description: Chapel built 1820 (c.1829), rebuilt 1881 & enlarged 1929. Built in simple round-headed style, gable entry type. Status (1998): in chapel use.
Ca 1881, simple round-headed style, stone-built & rendered chapel of 2-storey, short-wall-entry plan with gable-end façade & porches. Attached vestry & chapel house at right angles to left & right. Simple interior with ballastered pulpit & sedd fawr at entrance, stairs at entry to 3-sided panelled gallery on timber posts.

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
