- Summary: The cause began in 1787. Salem Baptist Chapel was built in 1823 and rebuilt in the late nineteenth century.
The present chapel is built of stone with brick surrounds to the openings in the Simple Round-Headed style of the long-wall entry type. The entrance door lies to the right, and there are 2 round headed sash windows in the long elevation. There is a 2-storey stone-built, slate-roofed chapel house in line with the chapel.
In 1905 (Royal Commission on the Church of England and Other Religious Buildings in Wales and Monmouthshire census) it was large enough to house a congregation of 160 and was worth £300. - Description: Cause begun c.1787 & chapel built 1823, rebuilt late C19th, in simple round-headed style, long-wall entry type. Status (1998): in chapel use.

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
