- Summary: Penuwch Methodist Chapel was built in 1817 as a Sunday school. It wa senlarged in 1837, and incorporated as a chapel in 1844. This was extended again 1867 and renewed in 1888.
The present chapel, dated 1867, is built in the Simple Round-Headed style of the gable entry type. There are two tall, round-headed pulpit windows with round-headed glazing to the centre of the facade, with two smaller, but similar gallery winodws to the outer bays. Below these were two outer doorways, both now blocked. To the right is an attached, two storey chapel house.
In 1905 (Royal Commission on the Church of England and other Religious Bodies in Wales and Monmouthshire) there were 356 sittings in the chapel which was valued at £1000. - Description: Chapel built 1837 & enlarged 1844; rebuilt 1867 & renewed 1888. Building style is simple round-headed, gable entry type. Sunday School built 1817. Status (1998): in chapel use.

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
