- Summary: The cause here started as Independant, becoming Unitarian after 1760. Cribyn Unitarian Chapel was built in 1790, the cause started by Dafydd Davies Castellhywel and Evan Davies, Cwmbedw. It was rebuilt in 1851.
The chapel is extremely simple, being a long-wall entry building built in the Simple Round-Headed style. There are two round-headed outer doorways, each with a fanlight with Y-glazing, and two central pulpit windows with similar glazing. Between the windows is a small date plaque.
In 1905 (Royal Commission on the Church of England and other Religious Bodies in Wales and Monmouthshire) there were 220 sittings in the chapel which was valued at £800. - Description: Chapel built 1790; rebuilt 1851. My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
