- Summary: the cause at Moriah began in 1820 and the first Moriah Baptist Chapel was built in 1829. In 1840 there were 20 members and the chapel was rebuilt in 1888.
The current chapel is built in the Simple Round-Headed style of the long-wall entry type. The front façade has two large, round-headed pulpit windows with moulded hoods, integral with a decorative band across the front. To the left is the entrnace, with a small, open, lean-to porch. In the centre of the elevation is a inscribed plaque.
In 1905 (Royal Commission on the Church of England and other Religious Bodies in Wales and Monmouthshire) there were 150 sittings in the chapel which was valued at £500.

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
