- Summary: The cause at Llanafan began in 1787, with Capel Afan Methodist Chapel and schoolroom built in 1806. The chapel was rebuilt of stone in 1856 in the Simple Round-Headed style of the gable entry type. The gable façade, which is rendered, has two small gabled entrance porches to either end with pronounced quoins and round-headed doorways. Between the porches are two round-headed windows with intersecting glazing, and there is similar quoining to the façade corners. Another two large, round-headed windows wth interesecting glazing in the side elevations.
In 1905 (Royal Commission on the Church of England and other Religious Bodies in Wales and Monmouthshire) there were 300 sittings in the chapel which was valued at £750, with 50 sittings in the Sunday School.

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
