- Summary: Babell Methodist Chapel was built in 1874 in the Simple Gothic style of the gable entry type. The front gable façade is dominated by a large pointed arch window with intersecting Y-glazing, flanked by two much smaller, windows in a similar style. Below each of these smaller windows is a pointed arch doorway, withlarge fanlights in arch, again with Y-glazing, and plain boarded doors. There are four further pointed arch windows in the side elevations, together with abutresses at either end and one to the centre.
The schoolroom was built in 1848 which, according to the 1851 Census, was used as a Day School, a Sunday School and occasionally as a place of worship.
In 1905 (Royal Commission on the Church of England and other Religious Bodies in Wales and Monmouthshire) there were 156 sittings in the chapel which was valued at £500.

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
