- Summary: The Ebeneser Welsh Calvinist Methodist Chapel was originally built in 1815, but later completely rebuilt and enlarged in 1862. It was further modified in 1924, including the remodelling of the front façade. In the 1990s the chapel was demolished, and services were moved to the school room, which now serves as the chapel. The current building is in the Simple Round-Headed style, with a cement-rendered exterior with rusticated quoins, hood-moulding around the windows, and Tudor-frame-style decoration in the triangle of the gable. The chapel is entered at the gable end via a central double panelled doorway, with arched light over. This is flanked by two paned arch-headed windows. In the gable triangle is a double-paned plain window, below which is a plaque with the inscription 'YSGOLDY. M.C.' The left-hand side elevation has four tall paned sash windows, while on the left there are three, with a further building attached to the rear of the right elevation.
The interior is plain. The roof is supported by A-frame trusses with a ceiling of timber suspended from the collar beams. Iron tie rods add further strengthening below the ceiling. There is timber wainscoting around the walls. The pews are loose benches with iron supports. The pulpit is at the far end on a raised dais. It is of timber, fluted pillars and intermediate round-headed panels. The wall behind has a wooden-panelled reredos with side scrolls.

Hello
My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website. I have now located it on Google Street View – looks like someone is ‘doing it up’ to live in: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.2612635,-3.1095337,3a,90y,232.95h,84.26t/data=!3m9!1e1!3m7!1s-8DWPORkq2RFVNXBLde_-g!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!9m2!1b1!2i53?hl=en-GB
The marriage record of my ancestors Abraham Bounds and Elizabeth Williams is attached. I hope it is of interest.
All the best
Saira
