- Summary: Bethlehem Independent Chapel was built in 1800 and rebuilt in 1834, in 1872 ( to the design of architect W. Beynon) and again in 1911 ( to the design of W.D. Jenkins of Llandeilo). The present chapel, dated 1911, is built in the Simple Round-Headed style of the gable entry type.
RCAHMW, July 2009 - Description: First chapel built 1800 & rebuilt 1834. Rebuilt/modified 1872 to the design of W Beynon & again 1910-11 to the design of Mr Jenkins of Llandeilo. Present building style is simple round- headed, gable entry type. Status (1998): in chapel use. Date of present buidling 1910.
Main chapel mixture of square rough dressed stone & rubble stone walling rendered over with a cement plaster finish. Vestry of rubble stone walling rendered over with a cement plaster finish. My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
