- Summary: The first Penybont Chapel was built in 1773 then rebuilt/extended in 1785 and 1808. Renewal work took place in 1855 and 1886. The present chapel, dated largely 1808, is built in the Sub-Classical style of the gable entry type. The chapel closed in 1908 and is now a vestry & chapel house.

A former church (chapel) to this cause, now with floor inserted for vestry & chapel house. A chapel was built in 1773 & extended in 1785 (date plaque); the present structure is probably largely of 1808 (date plaque & O M Jenkins), with fabric renewed in 1855 & 1886 (date plaque & OMJ). My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
