- Summary: Salem Welsh Baptist Church was buit in 1769 and enlarged in 1812, before being rebuilt in 1852. Several subsequent phases of repair, alteration and rebuilding have taken place since that time. The small chapel is in the simple round-headed style. The front facade is rendered and whitewashed; the central arched doorway is flanked by two long arched lights. The side elevations are of whitewashed rubble stone and have two sets of plain windows. The pavillion roof is of Welsh slate.

The church (chapel) was formed in 1769 (1998 "Llawlyfr" of Undeb Bedyddwyr Cymru) and built in that year (1851 R. Census); this was rebuilt in 1812 (1851 R. My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
