RCAHMW, June 2009. - Description: Chapel first built 1777; present structure rebuilt 1837 as a long-wall chapel & remodelled 1907/8 to a gable facade in sub-classical style, gable entry type with centre window arch. Status (2000): in chapel use.
Originally built 1777. Set in a hugh [high? Huge?] field in a commanding position entering the village of Caio. Simple boxy exterior in a nice treatment with horizontal mouldings giving strong emphasis. The right side wall echoes the façade in style but the left doesn't - it can't be seen from the road, only from the field.
Almost certainly this is an 1837 sidewall chapel altered to a gable-end in 1907 - the left dise [side?] faces the road and is laid out like a façade (Anthony Jones). - Centre Window Arch: 1907 Source:Walters, S. (plaque)

The gable-entry facade of Tynewydd. The old long-wall entry design is still visible on the side wall.
Hello
My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website. I have now located it on Google Street View – looks like someone is ‘doing it up’ to live in: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.2612635,-3.1095337,3a,90y,232.95h,84.26t/data=!3m9!1e1!3m7!1s-8DWPORkq2RFVNXBLde_-g!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!9m2!1b1!2i53?hl=en-GB
The marriage record of my ancestors Abraham Bounds and Elizabeth Williams is attached. I hope it is of interest.
All the best
Saira
