- Summary: Cambrian Place Methodist Chapel was built 1804, enlarged in 1821 and rebuilt in 1861. The 1861 chapel was Classical in style of the gable entry type but was demolished in 1978 and a new more modest church built nearby in 1981.

John Wesley preached on Castle Green in 1763. The first local Society was formed in 1769. Early meeting places, e.g. at "Wesley's Room" in Red Lion Yard. The chapel was built in 1804, enlarged in 1821 and rebuilt on the same site as a distinguished classical design in 1861, incporporating the former chapel's windows in its schoolroom. Fire damaged in 1941 (Lodwick, Story of Carmarthen (1972)). Status (1998): 1861 chapel demolished (by 05/1981) and a new more modest church built nearby. - Built: 1861 Source:MHLG

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
