MAIN NOTEWORTHY FEATURE of MAIN BUILDING / COMPLEX:
Constructed 1901 adjacent to original school chapel built 1886 later used as schoolroom and hall.
Original (1886) designed by J H Phillips, Architect, Duke Street and built by D Thomas, Contractor, Richmond Road. Unassuming and small scale.
Vernacular Gothic building in Blue pennant sandstone, Palladian hints of a pediment between sqaure topped pilasters to main, gable, façade, repeated at the corners.
Octagonal tower arising from one wing with tall decorated spire, ashlar detailing and gargoyles. Rhythmic lateral elevations.
Imposing magisterial interior, very organised with massive use of pitchpine to preaching area.

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
