- Summary: Bethlehem Baptist Chapel was built in 1871 and rebuilt in 1876. The later chapel was built in the Romanesque style with two storeys and a basement, a gable entry plan and round headed windows. This chapel was converted in 1995 for use as a performance hall, with social and practice rooms for Ogmore Valley Male Voice Choir. Bethlehem is now Grade 2 Listed as the best example of a type of chapel design.
RCAHMW, February 2012 - Description: After closure, the chapel was converted into a performance hall in 1995, with social and practice rooms for the Ogmore Valley Male Voice Choir. It is the surviving example of the external design that was also used at Libanus, Gilfach Goch, and Bethel, Nant-y-moel and, with modifications, at Bethania, Ogmore Vale and Noddfa, Gilfach Goch (information from Cadw list description of 28/07/1997).

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
