- Summary: Amor Baptist Chapel was built in 1829 in the Gothic style, with a gable entry plan, rendered stone rubble walls and small pane windows.
RCAHMW, August 2011 - Description: The chapel was formed in 1829 and was built in 1829 or 1830. Built in the Gothic style, gable entry type. Status (1998): in chapel use.
Main chapel random stone rubble walling rendered over with cement plaster finish. Vestry plain random stone rubble walling (also rear gable end of chapel). Buff face brick quoins and arches to windows and doorway. Both roofs of timber framing clad with Welsh slate.
No upper gallery, ceiling not original, present being of modern artex finish. Interior furnishings of good quality. Excellent pulpit. In general chapel is a good example of the early rural chapel. Site visit I D Jones 16/11/1997.
Note from the Religious Census of 1851: a Calendar of the Returns Relating to Wales, ed. I G Jones, p312, "Number of Sittings already provided Including Free and other Sittings 30 and are adapted to contain six persons in each seat (or sittings)."

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
