- Summary: Bryn Seion Baptist Chapel was built in 1877 in the Vernacular style with a long wall entry plan, using pebbles from a local river. The place of worship is on the upper floor and the basement rooms are used as dwellings.
RCAHMW, August 2011 - Description: The chapel was formed (established?) in 1897, and was built in 1877. Built in the Vernacular style, longwall entry type. Status (1998): in chapel use.
The place of worship is on the upper floor. The basement rooms are at present used as dwellings. Originally they may have had a variety of uses (Minister's rooms, caretaker's accomodation or schoolroom/vestry). The architecture of the chapel's exterior is unusual in that it resembles a house. There are, throughout Wales, a number of similar examples ie Bethel Baptist, Llwyn On, Nr Merthyr Tydfil and Zion Independent, nr Bedlinog. According to the chapel Secretary, the chapel was built from pebbles gathered from the nearby river. (Notes by I D Jones March 1997).
The church (chapel) was formed (established?) in 1897 (1998 "Llawlyfr" of Undeb Bedyddwyr Cymru), and was built in 1877 (date plaque). Status (1998): in Baptist use. - Built: 1877 Source:Plaque

Hello
My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website. I have now located it on Google Street View – looks like someone is ‘doing it up’ to live in: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.2612635,-3.1095337,3a,90y,232.95h,84.26t/data=!3m9!1e1!3m7!1s-8DWPORkq2RFVNXBLde_-g!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!9m2!1b1!2i53?hl=en-GB
The marriage record of my ancestors Abraham Bounds and Elizabeth Williams is attached. I hope it is of interest.
All the best
Saira
