RCAHMW, July 2011 - Description: The church was formed in 1833 and was built in that year or opened? on 12 & 13 May, 1835. Rebuilt in 1853-4 & ?re-opened on 15 & 16 January, 1854. George Thomas of Brynmawr was the builder & the designer. Further works of ca. 1890, with re-opening in August 1890. Status (2001): in chapel use.
This chapel was in Llangynidr parish, in Breconshire, at the time of the 1851 Religious census (see note in memo for NPRN:12377).

The church was formed in 1833 (2001 Llawlyfr of Undeb Bedyddwyr Cymru) and was built in that year (1851 Religious census) or opened? On 12 & 13 May, 1835 (BCS/ BGC). It measured 36' x 36' and had a gallery round 3 sides, with 3 rows of seats in the gallery, and a row of seats along 2 sides below; the chapel was candlelit at night (BCS/ BGC). Rebuilt in 1853-4 to an area of 51' x 36', & ?re-opened on 15 & 16 January, 1854 (BCS/ BGC); George Thomas of Brynmawr was the builder & possibly the designer (BCS/ BGC). My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
