A plaque on this chapel reads: Built 1803, Enlarged 1835, Rebuilt 1865. The present building belongs to the last date. It consists of a gable-entry chapel in simple Romanesque style, with a schoolroom attached at the rear of the left-hand side, to form an L-shaped plan. A graveyard is attached.
The façade is of red brick with stone dressings, lintels, sills and quoins and has doorways either side of a pair of long central windows. All openings have round-headed arches. There is a stone plaque in thegable.
The right-hand side is of brick and has three square-headed windows with stone lintels and slate sills. The left-hand side is rendered and has two square-headed windows. The rear is of plain brick with no openings. The roof is of slate.
Inside, the twin doorways lead via small vestibules, to two aisles. The pews are plain. The pulpit is set at the rear, within a panel partitioned sedd-fawr. Unusually, this is not set on a dais. The walls are clad in wainscoting. Access to schoolroom is at the rear of the left-hand side.
The front elevation of the schoolroom is rendered and has a single square-headed window, and to its right, in the angle with the chapel, an entrance via a small porch. The right-hand gable has a chimney and is covered with corrugated iron sheeting.

Hello
My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website. I have now located it on Google Street View – looks like someone is ‘doing it up’ to live in: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.2612635,-3.1095337,3a,90y,232.95h,84.26t/data=!3m9!1e1!3m7!1s-8DWPORkq2RFVNXBLde_-g!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!9m2!1b1!2i53?hl=en-GB
The marriage record of my ancestors Abraham Bounds and Elizabeth Williams is attached. I hope it is of interest.
All the best
Saira
