- Summary: Capel Isaf Methodist Chapel was built in 1785, rebuilt in 1805, enlarged in 1826 and modified in 1833, before a final rebuild in 1876. The present chapel, dated 1876, was designed by architect Richard Owen of Liverpool and built in the Classical style of the gable entry type, at a cost of £326 6s 4d.
RCAHMW, May 2011 - Description: Built in c.1785, rebuilt 1805, enlarged 1826, rebuilt and modified 1833, 1876, architect R.Owen of Liverpool (cost £326 6s 4d), and 1910-11. Built in the Classical style, gable entry type. The photos in the Rosser collection show the chapel while the photos in the chapels records most probably show the new school. Present status [1999]: Chapel The chapel is possibly the successor of Capel Yr Ardd Fawr in 1851 - Census P.311. Still in use, (Notes by M Seabourne 01/07/93). (PI 30/04/96).

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
