- Summary: The Friend's congregation was established in Llandrindod in 1893 and land was bought in 1897. The meeting house (complete with electic lighting) was built and opened in the same year, designed by the firm of architects Owen Morris Roberts & Son, of Porthmadog. The Meeting House is built in the Sub-Classical style with a a long-wall entry plan. It was sold to the Elim Pentecostal Church in 1985, and a smaller brick built successor built to the rear of the original meeting house. This is still in use as a chapel.

Friends'Meeting House (1), now Elim Pentecostal Church, is situated at the front of the Temple Street plot; the present Friends' Meeting House (2), NPRN:8270, is situated at the back of this plot of land, behind NPRN:11762 (OMJ, 1999)
A meeting was established in 1893; land was bought in 1898, and the meeting house, complete with electric lighting, was built & opened in the same year, designed by the firm of Owen Morris Roberts & Son, of Porthmadog (David Butler, The Quaker meeting houses of Britain (1999), v. 2, 856-7; RCAHMW). The original plan, section and elevation are held in Powys County Record Office, Llandrindod Wells (R/NC/2/B/15-17). The meeting house & part of the land were sold in 1985 (D. Butler, op. cit) to Elim Pentecostal Church. A new meeting house (NPRN: 8270) has been built at the back of this plot of land (1996 Book of Meetings of the Religious Society of Friends; D Butler; RCAHMW). My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
