- Summary: Beulah Methodist Chapel was built in 1823 and rebuilt in 1882. The present chapel, dated 1882, is built in the Simple Gothic style with a gable entry plan. A plaque below the centre window reads: "Beulah/ C.M. chapel/erected 1823/ re-erected 1882". This chapel has a red-brick gable entry facade, a centre window triplet with heads for louvred vents and end lean-to porches, each with a pointed window over. There are similar windows in the return elevations. The adjoining house, on the right hand-side, has a gabled hood to the entry in the right hand return and a half-hipped roof. A dwarf wall and railings run along the front of chapel and there are gates and railings in the right hand return.
RCAHMW, December 2010 - Description: Built in 1822-23, possibly designed by G.W.Corfield of Tregynon and built by O.Pugh, obviously modified at some point. Built in the Simple Gothic style, gable entry type. Present status [1998]: Chapel; status (2002): chapel. See NMRW d/base entry. Included under The Association in the East, Montgomery and Shropshire Presbytery, in Blwyddiadur 1995.
Beulah was built in 1822-23, possibly by Owen Pugh (BCS database). GW Corfield of Tregynon is thought to have been the designer of Beulah 1 or 2 (BCS database). Beulah was rebuilt ca. 1882 as the present chapel (Beulah 2).A plaque below the centre window reads: "Beulah/ C.M. chapel/erected 1823/ re-erected 1882". My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
