- Summary: Saron Independent Chapel was built in 1825 and renovated in 1894. The present chapel, dated 1894, is built in the Vernacular style with pebbledash walls, a slate roof, gable entry plan and small pane flat-headed windows.To the right hand side there is a slate plaque inscribed: "Saron/ Addoldy yr Annibynwyr/ AD 1825/adgyweirwyd 1894". It has a blind rear gable and a red brick and slate-roofed porch with entry via its side wall. The front gable and roadside elevations are enclosed by iron railings.

The original chapel of 1825 was built in the area of Penybont newydd and Tanyfoel (BCS database). It is a slate-roofed, gable-entry chapel, the long roadside elevation has pebbledash cladding and two 12-pane windows. The right hand window has a single opening pane. To the right hand side there is a slate plaque inscribed: "Saron/ Addoldy yr Annibynwyr/ AD 1825/adgyweirwyd 1894". It has a blind rear gable. It has a red brick and slate-roofed porch with entry in its side wall via a wooden-boarded door with an overlight.
The front gable and roadside elevations are enclosed by iron railings.

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
