The later chapel is built if coursed, well squared stone as a gable entry type. Constructed in the Simple Gothic style, the gable façade has a centrally placed round-headed doorway with a hoodmould and plain keystone. The plain boarded double doors have a Y-glazed fanlight over. Above the doorway is a large triple window, the central pointed arch light larger than the outer two. All three lights have Y-glazing and similar hoodmoulds to the door. There are two further, single light windows to the outer bays, other wise identical in style. In the apex of the gable is a small circular name and date plaque, and theer is decorative bargeboarding to the eaves. The gable faces onto the road, and to the front is a small grassed courtyard enclosed by wrought iron railings and gates with stone piers. - Description: Built in 1830-32, rebuilt 1873. Hello
My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website. I have now located it on Google Street View – looks like someone is ‘doing it up’ to live in: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.2612635,-3.1095337,3a,90y,232.95h,84.26t/data=!3m9!1e1!3m7!1s-8DWPORkq2RFVNXBLde_-g!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!9m2!1b1!2i53?hl=en-GB
The marriage record of my ancestors Abraham Bounds and Elizabeth Williams is attached. I hope it is of interest.
All the best
Saira
