- Summary: Pennal Independent Chapel was built in 1822 and refitted in c.1870. The present chapel, dated 1822, is built in the Vernacular style with a long-wall entry plan and small pane flat-headed windows. Pennal is now Grade 2 Listed as a well preserved early nineteenth century rural chapel.
RCAHMW, November 2010 - Description: Built in 1821-22, internally refitted? c.1870. Small, stone-built & slate-roofed long-wall entry chapel. Whitewashed stone front wall, the central doorway with two 2-panel doors & 4-pane overlight; flanking 12-pane sash windows with horns. Blind l.h. & r.h. end gables, the rear long wall with a central 12-pane sash window with stone voussoirs. Inside, pulpit & Set Fawr against gable end with seats each side; ca. 4 seats with staggered divider in front, in main body of chapel. Status (2002): in chapel ownership?, but not in regular use.

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
