- Summary: Beerseba Independent Chapel was built in 1805 and rebuilt in 1843. The later chapel was built in the Vernacular style with a long-wall entry plan and small pane flat-headed windows. By 2002 this chapel had fallen into disuse.
RCAHMW, November 2010 - Description: Ist chapel built 1805? Built in 1843, opened? 6 & 7 December (BCS database); renovated in late C19? Stone-built, slate-roofed long-wall entry chapel, with adjoining chapel house under same roofline. Slate-hung front gable & l.h. return. Two 16-pane flat-headed windows in front gable; a small-pane window in further bay of each return. In r.h. long-wall entry, r.h. doorway with 2 wooden-boarded doors; l.h. stone plaque inscribed: "The site/ on which this chapel stands/ was presented to the/ Welsh Congregationalists by/ The Rt Honourable George Charles/ Earl of Powis/ AD 1923". Inside chapel, 2-bay flat ceiling with sloping sides with centre arch-braced collar on corbels; later-C19 open bench seats, 3 on "E" & 5 on "W"; centre aisle. Three seats each side facing on to sides of pulpit & Set Fawr; "Duw cariad yw" as painted text behind pulpit. Status (1998): chapel. Status (2002): disused (notice of 27/11/2002 from Powys CC, inviting contacts).

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
