- Summary: Maes-y-Groes Methodist Chapel was first built in 1822 and then rebuilt in 1905. It is brick built in the Arts & Carfts Vernacular style, with some touches of the Queen Anne style, particularly in the doorway. This chapel has a gable entry plan and a vestry/house set back on the left hand side.
RCAHMW, November 2010 - Description: Previous chapel of 1822. Present chapel dates from 1905 and is in red-brick Arts & Crafts vernacular, with touches of Queen Anne. Gable-entry facade with half-timbered gable over 5-light canted oriel bay window, in turn over centre segmental doorway with shallow swan-necked pediment, in line with cornice over flanking 3-light windows with ?memorial stones below. Vestry or house cross-wing set back on l.h., with 3-light ground-floor cambered-headed window. R.h. return of main wing partly of brick and partly rendered; enclosed by wooden paling fence. Present status [2003]: chapel.

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
