- Summary: Ebenezer Methodist Chapel was built in 1864. it was designed by architect W H Spaul of Oswestry and built in the Gothic style with a gable entry plan, and constructed in Sweeney stone with red brick bands and arches and Bath-stone dressings. The chapel has a large red-brick Sunday School wing at right angles to the rear.
RCAHMW, November 2010 - Description: Foundation stone laid 3/6/1864 (site visit); opened? 26 & 27 October, 1864 (BCS database). Designed by WH Spaull of Oswestry, to seat 175, and in the Gothic style. Built in "Sweeney stone with red brick bands and arches & Bath stone dressings" (BCS database). Large & ?later red-brick Sunday School wing at right angles to rear. 1864 gable entry facade with 2 tall single-light windows with elongated quatrefoil over; ing entrance door at foot of adjoining tower & spire; trefoliated doorway with wooden-boarded door. Slate roof with ashlar coping; cowl vent. Rear wall of red brick Sunday School with 6 cambered-headed 6-pane windows. Visited briefly 21/1/2003. Present status (2003): in chapel use.

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
