- Summary: Brooks Methodist Chapel was built in 1874 to the design of architect Richard Owen of Liverpool. The chapel is built in the Vernacular style with a long-wall entry plan, basement, chapel house and stable wing.
RCAHMW, November 2010 - Description: Built in 1874. ?Foundation stone inscribed 1871 at upper rear ground floor level. Red brick long-wall entry chapel over basement; cross-gable to chapel house towards r.h. end, the chapel house otherwise under same roofline; roadside chapel elevation with l.h. gabled porch & 2 cambered-headed sash windows with margin panes & horns & extrnally, with raised & fielded panel shutters; 3 similar windows in rear long wall; l.h. gable with 2, & also with stone plaque over circular vent. Attached 1-storey red brick & weatherboarded rear stable wing. Interior with late C19 paired centre, & single side, blocks of seating; vertically boarded dado; arch behind pulpit, set against house wall. Present status [1998 & 2002]: Chapel

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
