- Summary: Betws Methodist Chapel was built in 1827 and restored in 1885. The present chapel, dated 1885, is built in the Simple Classical and Round-Headed style with a gable entry plan.
RCAHMW, November 2010 - Description: Red-brick & slate-roofed, gable-entry chapel dating from 1820s and subsequently ?re-ordered. Later-C19 style sash windows with horns and margin panes, 2 each in gable ends and in long roadside elevation, the last also with 2 small, late-C19 style ashlar mullioned windows with small diamond panes; two blocked earlier windows over. Parapeted ashlar porch with round-arched entries against l.h. doorway in r.h. gable facade. Plaque inscribed: "Calvinistic Methodist Chapel/ Erected 1827/ Restored 1885". Present status [2003]: Chapel.
Red-brick C19 chapel (c.f. with Brooks CM (NPRN: 11237) & Sarn Baptist Church (NPRN: 11270). Plaque inscribed "Calvinistic Methodist Chapel/ erected 1827/restored 1885". Built in a simple classical, and round-headed style; NW. & SE. end gables with pierced and cusped bargeboards; round-arched ashlar porch with parapet leading to l.h. doorway in NE. gable. Sash windows with glazing bars, horns, and partly with margin panes; two windows each in gable ends and in long-wall, roadside elevation, the last also with two small, late-C19 ashlar mullioned windows with small diamond panes with two blocked earlier windows over. Present status (1998 & 2002): Chapel.

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
