- Summary: Rhosycaerau Independent Chapel was built in 1724, rebuilt in 1770, rebuilt again in 1804 and modified in 1826. The present chapel, dated 1804, is built in the Vernacular style with a short-wall entry plan. Rhosycaerau is now Grade 2 Listed as a late Georgian chapel.

1724-1826. Rubble stone with render to west and front. 18th century. Hipped slated roof. Original windows (8 0n 8 sashes). Adjoining cottage, barns, drystone walls. 1993 PCNPA.
The chapel was built before 1800 (1851 R. Census), in 1724 (date plaque; Cadw; PCNPA), rebuilt in 1770 and 1804 (dates on plaque), in 1804 as the present chapel (Cadw). Subsequent alterations. My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
