RCAHMW, November 2010 - Description: The chapel was built in 1862-3 by William Harris and John Richards, masons, with Joshua Morris & Son of Newport as carpenters. Built in the Sub-Classical and Simple Gothic style, gable entry type. Status (1993): in chapel use.
Painted rendered rubble stone/slate. Decorated gable to road. 'Tudor arch' in render (similar chapel in Newport). Mixture Gothic and Classical idioms. Unaltered interior with marbelled columns. Gated forecourt. 1993 PCNPA.
The church is dated 1867 (date plaque; Cadw); it was built in 1862-3 (Cadw) by William Harris and John Richards, masons, with Joshua Morris & Son of Newport as carpenters. My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
