- Summary: Penuel Baptist Chapel was built in 1824 and rebuilt as the present chapel in 1860. The chapel is built in the Simple Round-Headed style with a gable entry plan. Penuel is now Grade 2 Listed.
RCAHMW, November 2010 - Description: The chapel was formed in 1824 and was built in that year; it was rebuilt as the present chapel in 1860. Built in the Sub-Classical style, gable entry type. Status (1998): chapel
Rubble stone with dressed arches. Slated roof. Original fenestration. Rendered sides. Sub classical gable entry façade with open pediment. Iron railings on low walls, gates to front. Bracketted eaves, banded blue lias stone. Interior lined with ashlar, original fittings. 1993 PCNPA.
Stylistically similar to Glanrhyd Chapel, 1870, and Cana, Felindre Farchog (NPRN: 11150), 1857 (information from Cadw list description of 27/10/1992).
The church (chapel) was formed in 1824 (1998 Llawlyfr of Undeb Bedyddwyr Cymru) and was built in that year (1851 R. Census, PCNPA); it was [re]built as the present chapel in 1860 (date plaque, PCNPA); the interior retains C19 fittings (PCNPA). Status (1998): in Baptist use. - Built: 1824 Source:Religious Census

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
